Alex spent some time at the Wanderer's when living in Darwin. They are one of Darwin's most famous football clubs, founded in 1917 when the NTFL began. They are known as the Eagles or Muk Muks. The club has produced many famous players such as Russell Jeffrey, Poncie Cubillo, Ted Cooper, Gus Wanganeen, Shannon Motlop, Aaron Motlop, Marlon Motlop and Gilbert Clarke to name a few.
